Green Space Dark Skies

At the Green Space Dark Skies event, our intent was to create an immersive, interactive experience using recycled scaffolding ‘pylon’ structures enriched with augmented reality

technology, fostering a deep reconnection with nature. Our sustainable approach nurtures a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Through this collaborative project, we envision leaving a positive, lasting impact and encouraging a shared commitment to preserving our environment for present and future generations involves re-purposing scaffolding materials, minimizing waste, and embodying environmental consciousness. By harmonizing innovative technology and eco-friendly design, we aim to inspire visitors to embrace their responsibility as caretakers of the planet, nurturing a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Through this collaborative project, we envision leaving a positive, lasting impact and encouraging a shared commitment to preserving our environment for present and future generations.

This collection of visuals shows the 'AR' Butterflies that were used in the 'Collaborative Practice' project, which allowed members of the public to interact with our project.

Using Blender, I created a singular image of the origami butterflies, that were hand folded and then multiplied and simply animated to create more 'lively' butterflies for users to see come to life from scanning the QR code placed on the physical 'Collaborative Practice' pylon structure.
