Kumasta! I'm Lauren,
I am a graduate of Interior Architecture and Design, with a keen interest in 3D digital, retail and exhibition design. I find inspiration in the fashion industry and its sustainable practices that minimise negative impacts on our environment. My ultimate goal is to create spaces that offer a desirable, memorable experience for users. I use a combination of hand-drawn sketches and computer-aided designs to visualise my concepts.
Prior to university, I completed a Level 3 Art and Design Extended Diploma course at Chichester College. This course helped me develop various skills required to embark on my design journey. My focus areas were the printing methods of design, including screen-printing and etching, and experimenting with textiles.
At the moment, I am deeply passionate about experimenting with different forms, colours, and lighting to produce one-of-a-kind designs. I am open to exploring various design opportunities, particularly in the retail, set, or exhibition design fields. I take pride in creating projects that have the potential to tell a story, as I believe that this is the most effective way to engage users and make them feel welcome in the space or project that has been designed.

Hobbies + Interests:
My passion for design is fueled by my interests in fashion, music, fitness, and travel. Additionally, I enjoy visiting exhibitions in my free time.
Post Graduation
Ever since graduating from Arts University Bournemouth, I've been working full-time as a Junior Lighting Designer. This job has allowed me to further develop my communication, teamwork, and project management skills, as well as gain proficiency in using Relux to create lighting plans for our clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends to maintain a good work-life balance. It's helpful because I get to socialise with people in various creative industries, which allows me to stay connected with my own creative side.
